As Vice President, Testing, Research and Insights within the membership division of Consumer Reports, Lilian Kayizzi is responsible for evolving CR’s testing programs to meet the needs of consumers today. She is an engineer and technical leader with more than 15 years of experience in Research and Development, manufacturing, process optimization, and measurement systems. She oversees a team based at CR’s Yonkers headquarters of product test engineers, test technicians, safety experts and sustainability analysts who are responsible for the product testing, ratings and reviews that are core to the organization’s work.
Lilian joined CR from Nobel Biocare where she oversaw more than a dozen engineering processes and managed the technical execution of programs to deliver innovative products and processes. Previously, Lilian led the process development, testing, and commercialization of new products at Kraft Foods in Tarrytown, NY, and she was a scientist at PepsiCo, responsible for handling product quality issues.
Lilian holds a B.S. in Industrial Chemistry from Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda, and a M.S. in Chemical Engineering from City College of New York (CUNY). She is a Certified Project Manager from Cornell University and Certified Six Sigma Black Belt specialist from the American Society of Quality.
