Suman Veeramalla is a data science and engineering leader, with 17+ years of experience unleashing the power of data to innovative products that help consumers and businesses make data-driven decisions.
As Consumer Reports’ Chief Data Officer, he is responsible for overseeing data strategy, data science center of excellence, data engineering, and data governance teams that build data-driven products and services to promote CR’s mission while creating economic value for the organization. Suman joined Consumer Reports in 2011.
Prior to joining CR, Suman was a data consultant with Tata. During his consulting tenure, he built several modern data and analytics systems for large corporations in the telecom, banking, and financial industries.
Suman is a Harvard Business School Alumnus with executive education in General Management (GMP). He also holds a Master’s degree in Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS Pilani, India).
